In today's rapidly developing digital technology, many industry markets have been dramatically transformed by business model innovations such as multilateral digital marketplaces, social media, e-commerce and software instant services, and the digital entrepreneurial activities inspired by these have become the focus of attention from all sectors of society. The CUFE International Summer School will focus on the theme of entrepreneurship in digital era, which will provide new learning experiences for studentsfrom different cultural backgrounds, helping them to improve their innovative thinking and global vision.

The 2025 CUFE International Summer School will be held at the South Xueyuan Road Campus of Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), located at 39 South Xueyuan Road, Haidian District, Beijing, China.

The summer school will also invite senior professors in the field of entrepreneurship to give academic lectures on entrepreneurship, which will provide students with academic insights and help improve their ability to analyze and creatively solve problems.

Young Envoy Scholarship (YES)
The Entrepreneurship in Digital Era: 2025 CUFE International Summer School is proud to be approved as one of the Young Envoy Scholarship (YES) programs. To support the initiative and YES program, the Chinese Embassy and the Consulates General in the US will issue five-year F visa with multiple entries to applicants with exclusive YES Invitations issued by China Educational Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) are eligible. CUFE will cover the accommodation expenses for students during the summer school period.
For Off-campus visits, CUFE will cover the travel expenses and insurance costs.
Course Description
Working in Teams
The course aims to theoretically frame the issues of working in a group and practically develop relational skills and group management capabilities,with an emphasis on both physical and virtual environments. The module provides a theoretical overview of keyelements that can influence group work such as personality,behavioral role preference,leadership styles, and the management of communication and conflict. These theoretical aspects are essential to enhance students’awareness and knowledge of the topics underanalysis, paving the way for comprehensive personal development. In addition toknowledge enhancement, the module aims to develop students' abilities to ‘decode’social contexts in which they find or will find themselves at work—both onsite andonline—and how these contexts affect them.
Digital Entrepreneurship
In today's rapidly evolving digital technology, markets in a wide range of industries,such as media, entertainment, advertising, retail, transportation and accommodation,have been dramatically transformed by innovations in business models such as multilateral digital marketplaces, social media, e-commerce and software instant services. The resulting digital entrepreneurial activities have become a focus of attention for all sectors of the community. This course emphasizes the full integration of theory and practice. On the theoretical side, it introdu ces the basic theories of digital entrepreneurship related topics, while on the practical side, it provides a large amount of real data, cases, and information related to digital entrepreneurship, thus inspiring students to actively research, analyze, and participate in digital entrepreneurship activities.
Entrepreneurial Marketing
In the digital age, startups are facing new problems in marketing, and entrepreneurs need to rethink the concept of entrepreneurial marketing. This course aims to provide entrepreneurs with the necessary marketing knowledge and skills, especially marketing skills in the digital age, to help them stand out in the fiercely competitive market. Through this course, students will learn to understand the behavior of consumers in the digital age and use digital marketing tools to promote their products or services.
Guest Professor Profile
Prof. Massimiliano M. Pellegrini for Working in Teams
Prof. Massimiliano M.Pellegrini is a Professor of Organizational Studies and Entrepreneurial Behavior at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Globalisation and Small Business (ABS 1*), an editor for the Entrepreneurial Behaviour' book series (Emerald Publishing), and an Associate Editorfor the Journal of Management and Organization, Strategic Change, Journal of Enterprising Communities, Heliyon – Business Management Section, and the International Journal of Transition and Innovation Systems. His interests include decision-making processes and behaviors, especially in relation to digital transformation.He has published in highly ranked journals such as IEEE Transactionson Engineering Management, International Small Business Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business
Management, Small Business Economics, and Technovation.
Prof. Tang Wang for Digital Entrepreneurship
Prof. Tang Wang is an associate professor in the USF Nault Center for Entrepreneurship. He teaches graduate-levelcourses in business plan development in the School of Marketing and Innovation. Hisresearch focuses on technology entrepreneurship and innovation management,including product development, new venture creation, academic entrepreneurship, andtop management team. His work examines high-tech industries such as computer, software, biotechnology, defense, fintech, and crowdfunding. His research appears injournals such as the Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Management, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and Strategic Management Journal. He has presented his research at numerous international conferences and won several best paper awards.
Prof. Xiaoming Yang for Entrepreneurial Marketing
Prof. Xiaoming Yang previously served as the Regional Marketing Manager for Canon China, a Fortune Global 500 company, where he received the highest honor for sales personnel at Canon China—the President’s Award. He earned his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri with a full scholarship. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Collegeof Business at the University of Nebraska and the Associate Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He has published over 20 papers in prestigious academic journals and magazines, such as Small Business Economics, Industrial Marketing Management, and Tsinghua Management Review. Dr. Yang also serves as are viewer for renowned international journals and management conferences, including the Journal of Business Venturing, Business Research Quarterly, and Journal of Emerging Economies.
