主讲人：Professor Bruce Rasmussen
Professor Bruce Rasmussen became Director of the Centre for Strateic Economic Studies in 2012, having been Deputy Director since 2003. His work has focussed on the economics of new technologies, business models, business strategy and industry development issues. He completed a monograph on the biopharmaceutical sector published by Edward Elgar in 2010 as Innovation and Commercialisation in the Biopharmaceutical industry: Creating and Capturing Value.
Prior to joining the Centre, he was Assistant Director General of the the Victorian Treasury, where he was responsible, amongst other things, for the management of the State’s borrowing and debt management activitities. He was also Deputy Chairman of VICFIN, the State’s central borrowing authority, which borrowed, both domestically and overseas, on behalf the State’s agencies. He has also worked for the ANZ Bank, one of Austrlia’s ‘big four banks’ as as a senior strategist. Based on this background, he has conducted courses on financial deregulation, for Chinese banking officials, both in China and Australia.
Professor Rasmussen has a Master of Public Administration, from Harvard University where he was made a Littauer Fellow. He also has a Master of Economics from LaTrobe University. His PhD is from Victoria University.
