主讲人介绍：
Professor Bhajan Grewal is a Professorial Fellow in the Centre for Strategic Economic Studies (CSES) at Victoria University, Melbourne. He was the founding Deputy Director of CSES during 1993-2003. His principal research interests are governance, public finances, fiscal decentralisation, federalism and regional economies. He has long experience of working on China’s economy and public finances and was the Team Leader for the ADB major study of China’s fiscal management system in 2004-05, when he worked with Professors Li Junsheng, Gao Peiyong and Liu Shangxi. Since editing a book titled China’s future in the knowledge economy in 2002, he has visited China many times and presented seminars at CASS and the China Institute for Reform and Development CIRD. Professor Grewal was also Guest Editor of a special symposium on China’s public finances for the journal Public Finance and Management (2008-2009), and published an article on China’s Western region development strategy in the Journal of Contemporary China in 2011 and also contributed to the Energy Research Institute-CSES report on China’s energy efficiency in 2010.
